From a very young age I have enjoyed a humorous situation. I welcome laughter in all contexts. I typically shy away from vulgar or stupid comedy because it doesn't take anything to curse and refer to body parts over and over. On the other hand...real comedy, wittiness, clever thinking, merrymaking, whatever...is priceless.
I truly appreciate smart writing and television sitcoms have helped refine my sense of humor over the years. Way back when, Leonardo throwing a piece of ice cream pizza at Michelangelo was exhilarating. Thank the heavens for man's progression.
I came across the following scene from the British sitcom, Extras, and it's funnier and funnier each time I watch it. It stars Ricky Gervais, a comic genius and mind behind the oringal BBC version of "The Office," well...just have a look.
Sure, it's kind of weird. But it's hilarious! Go watch it again and pay attention to Gervais' facial expressions as he really thinks Patrick Stewart (playing himself) is disturbed. It's so utterly random that I can't help but love it!
Randomness makes funniness. I should patent that phrase.
