That's What She Said....

About Matty....

1. What is his name?  Matthew Brian Sanchez

2. Who eats more?  Definitely Matty, unless there's chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream involved or white funfetti cake with white frosting :)  My favorite two favorite things!

3. Who said "I love you" first? Matty.  It took seriously 30 minutes of staring at each other for this to come about.  I wasn't gonna say it first, I wanted him to.

4. Who is taller?  Matty is.  He's 6 feet 5 inches of pure muscle and manhood, but I own him at bball :) ha.

5. Who is smarter?  Depends what the subject is :D  I can be pretty stupid a lot of the time, but I think there's still some things I know that he doesn't.  However, he is better at debating.  

6. Who is more sensitive?  Probably me, but I like that Matty still has a sensitive side.  He has experienced things in his life that I hope I never have to, and I respect him so much for how well he keeps himself together.  I cry whenever I get the chance.  Its kind of pathetic.

7. Who does the laundry?  We both still do our own.  We don't have our own laundry facilities so we use my mom's since she lives so close.  I think we've maybe mixed loads....umm... once!  I guess we're both still used to taking care of ourselves in that department, but at least we participate in it together.

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?  hmm.  If you are looking at it from the foot of the bed perspective, then I sleep on the right side.  I don't think we really planned it out, it just worked out that way.  I haven't been sleeping that well lately on that side though, so maybe its time to switch ;)

9. Who pays the bills?  Matty usually takes care of the actual act of paying the bills, but we pay with both or our monies :)

10. Who cooks more?  Wow, I am starting to feel pretty useless.  Matty knows how to cook more, I am a convenience food eater.  Not like fast food, but I am fine if my meal consists of a bowl of cereal or sandwich and some yogurt... easy stuff that is ready-to-eat.  So far when we've made meals at home, we've made them together.  He's good at cooking the meat.

11. What meals do you cook together?  We have made spaghetti, chicken and rice, tacos, salads.  We tend to avoid too much cooking right now because it gets way too hot in our little place in the summer, so we keep it light.  Sometimes we'll microwave Healthy Choice or SmartOnes frozen dinners together :)

12. Who is more stubborn?  Probably a tie.  I almost said I am, but I immediately remembered some times that he wouldn't budge either.  Whenever Matty is being stubborn its usually because he is right.  I have been learning a lot from him.  We are good at talking out both of our points of view though so we can better understand each other's ways of thinking.

13. Who is the first to admit they are wrong?  I have no idea.  I think we're both pretty quick to apologize, but I can think of a few examples where we both were the first to admit a fault.

14. Who has more siblings?  Matty

15. Who wears the pants in the relationship?  aww, I knew this question was coming.  I'd say Matty.  I have a mind of my own, but I can be a pushover.  I just feel it is better to be easy going so there is harmony in the relationship than to try to be in control for the sake of my pride. 

16. What do you like to do together?  Just about everything.  We like being together and doing nothing, going to concerts, running/working out at the gym, watching movies, making dinner, playing games, playing basketball, etc, etc.

17. Who eats more sweets?  I do for sure!  I have an addiction to sugar as if its nicotine.  Its horrible.  Once I start I cant stop and then I make myself sick.  I'm practicing abstinence now.

18. Guilty pleasures?  Matty is a LOST fanatic!  He is determined to convert everyone!  He plays super nintendo pretty regularly now that we're married :) and he wont turn down a pizza. 

19. How did you meet?  We were set up!  The first time we talked on the phone, we figured out we were both on facebook so we could check out each other's looks before committing to a first date.  I looked him up first and was blown away by how attractive he is so I was too intimidated to send him a friend request.  Good thing he sent me one the next day.... things clicked on our very first date!

20.When did you know he was "the one?"  For me it was gradual, but I always kept the thought in the back of my head that he could be the one.  I thought it after our first date and I remember trying to fall asleep that night, but I too excited thinking about all the possibilities!   I fell for him quickly because things were always so comfortable and sincere between us and it didn't scare me to think about being with him forever!

21. Who kissed who first?  hehe.  I kissed Matty first!  It was on our first date.  We went back to his house and sat on the hammock in his backyard, at first just side by side.  I suggested we get more comfortable so we lied down and continued talking.  In between sentences I noticed Matty kept lifting his head a little and he was disguising it by just looking at our feet.  I don't think he knew I could hear his heart pounding with my head on his chest, so I knew what he was thinking.  My heart was beating fast with anticipation because I wanted to kiss him too, so the next time he lifted his head I said......

--I think I'll let Matty tell the rest of it if he wants.  It gets kind of cheesy from there :)

22. Who proposed?  Matty!  It was amazing and so spiritual.   I cannot believe the emotions that were felt at that moment!  Every thought i had for my future was passing through my mind and it was like all the thoughts that kept me up the night of our first date, were becoming a reality.  I want to do it again everyday!

23. His best features?  I love his height.  I can wear my tallest pair of shoes and not be taller than him.  He has huge biceps-- those swept me off my feet right away.  His luscious lips add to his perfect smile.  I hope our kids get his teeth.  I love his big brown eyes and this thing he does with his eyebrow when he looks at me like he's waiting for me to respond to something he's said or done.  He is such a stud!  I'm so lucky! 

24. Who is more athletic?  Tough one.  I don't know if I can answer this :)  I can pick up any sport really quickly, but he probably has more experienced in more sports.  I honestly think Matty is, I just don't want to admit it.

25. What is his greatest quality?  He has so many amazing qualities.   That is why I married him :)  He is so patient and so good at thinking things through before he acts.  He is simple and it helps me not be so complicated.  He's emotional and sensitive and so willing to be there for me and for his family.  He has his head on straight.  He is so well-rounded.  I love the freedom he feels to act like a goof and the piece of mind I feel when I'm around him.  He makes me laugh everyday.  He keeps me grounded and focused and he dreams big.  He makes me feel like I can do anything and for what he has been through in his life, he is incredibly optimistic and understanding.  I love everything about him!
